The dream was to build a luxury villa in a gated community in Costa Rica. There was a spectacular beachfront home site available and it was quickly purchased. The owners hired Omar Bonilla, one of Costa Rica’s finest architects, to design a home that emphasized the home site’s location and embellished the spectacular ocean views. After six (6) months of design, construction was started on Palacio Tropical. Over eighty (80) workers and craftsmen were hired from all over Central America to build Palacio Tropical. It took over a year to complete the home, however, the owners then had to furnish this tropical palace.
An interior design firm from world-famous Hilton Head Island was hired and in the end, over $250,000 of furniture was purchased for Palacio Tropical.
